Celotex Roofing For Use In:
Single-Ply System: TPO & PVC/PVC Based
Thermoplastic roofing membranes provide strength and flexibility along with superior weatherability characteristics. With the ability to be installed in a variety of roofing applications, thermoplastic systems combine durability and flexibility with an already easy-to-install and versatile product.
TPO/PVC (Thermoplastic) Roofing Systems
- Thermoplastic membranes are NOT chemically cross linked and are typically heat welded
- TPO membranes are produced by calendaring with lamination, extrusion with lamination, or extrusion-coating techniques and are characterized by:
- Widths of 6’ to 12’
- Thicknesses of 40 to 100 mils
- Seams are heat welded with hot air
- Commonly white or black membranes
- PVC membranes are produced by calendaring, spread coating or extruding, and typically are reinforced with polyester or glass-fiber mats or scrim and are characterized by:
- Widths of 6’ to 12’
- Thicknesses of 45 to 90 mils
- Seams are heat or chemical welded
- Numerous colors, but commonly white or grey membranes
TPO/PVC Roofing Systems can be used in the following applications
- Fully adhered
- Mechanically Attached
- Ballasted
Ballasted System
Provides a simple, economical design which is compatible with most insulation and provides coverage of large roof areas. The panels are loose-laid over the insulation and held in place by smooth, river-washed stone or concrete pavers
- Simple, economical design provides proven performance
- Stone ballast provides economical UL Class A Fire Rating
- Compatible with most insulations
- Wide panel sizes provide fast and efficient coverage of large roof areas
Standard UL Class A/FM 1-90 Single-Ply Ballasted System
- Metal deck
- 1 ½" rigid foam insulation
- ½" Structodek® HD fiberboard roof board
- Ballasted EPDM, TPO, PVC, CSPE
Fully Adhered System
Has a flexible design which adapts easily to unusual roof profiles or slopes and is excellent for high wind conditions. The membrane is bonded to the insulation, which hs been physically attached, utilizing mechanical fasteners, stress plates and/or adhesives
- Design flexibility – adapts easily to unusual roof profiles or slopes
- Excellent for high wind conditions
- Simple, time-proven application method provides high dependability
- Factory Mutual approved
Standard UL Class A FM/1-90 Fully Adhered Single-Ply System
- Metal deck
- 1 ½" rigid foam insulation
- ½" Structodek® HD fiberboard roof board
- Fully Adhered EPDM, TPO, PVC, CSPE (solvent and water-based adhesive)
Mechanically Attached System
Lightweight and are ideal for all building sizes and configurations. Can be installed using large panels and attached through the membrane. The membrane is then attached using either round plates or batten strips to the underlying deck.
- Light weight – adapts to most roof decks
- Wide panels provide fast coverage of large roof areas
- FM I-60 & FM I-90 wind rating is achievable
Standard UL Class A FM/1-90 Mechanically Attached Single-Ply System
- Metal deck
- 1 ½" rigid foam insulation
- ½" Structodek® HD fiberboard roof board
- Mechnanically attached EPDM, TPO, PVC, CSPE or single-ply membrane
